Interventional Radiology Technologist II

The Interventional Radiology Technologist II plays a vital role in the healthcare team by assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position requires the ability to prepare patients and operate x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
Explains procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
Prioritizes workflow based on patient condition and ensures timely arrival and departure.
Provides a conducive atmosphere to gain patient cooperation and confidence.
Requirements:
High School or GED required; 2-year Associate Degree preferred.
1 year of previous Interventional Radiology experience required.
Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiology - RT(R) - Required.
Certified and registered by ARRT in Cardiovascular Interventional or Vascular Interventional - RT(R)(CV) or RT(R)(VI) - Preferred.
Working Conditions:
The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are necessary. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. May be exposed to radiation.
