Position Summary: The Verland Foundation Inc is currently seeking a Support Care Specialist. In this vital role, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional care to the individuals residing at Verland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and support the lives of our residents while ensuring a safe and healthy environment
- Promote skill development through engaging treatment activities
- Execute personalized programs; document all observations and daily progress notes
- Participate in organizing social, home, and recreational activities
- Assist with meal preparation and perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- Transport clients to appointments and activities using Verland vehicles
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
- Fulfill other assigned responsibilities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals without restrictions
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, physical examination, and drug screening
- No prior experience necessary
Two weeks of paid training will be provided by Verland to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene, and each individual's support plan and personal development goals, which are essential for enhancing the daily lives of those we serve.
