The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, bilingual skills in Spanish and English, and the ability to travel between facilities. Key Responsibilities: * Lead all plant environmental, health, and safety compliance and management system functions and activities * Train, monitor, and mentor supervisors and managers in applicable modules of the EHS Management System * Partner with Ops and the Joint Health and Safety Committee to build awareness and a proactive mindset * Implement environmental programs and practices to ensure compliance with various operating permits and regulatory programs * Participate in critical management of change processes to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance * Conduct audits in EHS Insight to systematically reduce hazards and ensure regulatory compliance * Coordinate required OSHA training and lead and train employees and supervisors in all subject areas covered under the Mauser NASP Safety Program * Work with HR to ensure that all new hires or transferred workers receive the required orientation training * Interface with federal, state, and local environmental and safety agencies on plant issues * Manage and implement compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), USEPA, and State regulations * Communicate effectively and champion and implement change with a diverse set of internal and external customers Requirements: * Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or related program of study * Minimum of 5 years' experience in an EH&S position in a manufacturing environment * Certifications in Environmental or Health & Safety related programs preferred * Experience administering safety training in accordance with OSHA regulations * Experience in OSHA record-keeping related to various programs * Experience with hazardous waste management and Clean Air Act reporting * Bilingual in English and Spanish is required * Ability to travel between facilities About Us: GPAC is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
