Position Overview

Licensed Clinicians earn $70,000, while Limited Permit holders receive $68,000.

This role necessitates travel to various residential programs and office sites. Additionally, virtual work is available one day per week.

The Clinician within our Residential programs is tasked with delivering a comprehensive suite of direct clinical services to youth across various programs, including the Residential Treatment Center (RTC), Non-Secure Programs (NSP), and Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy to residents.
  • Conduct Licensed Evaluations (Assessments) to assess the behavioral strengths and weaknesses of children/youth, determine medical necessity for services, and identify additional required services.
  • Formulate Treatment Plans that outline the child/youth's conditions, the scope of services to be provided, anticipated outcomes, and the frequency and duration of treatment.
  • Provide Crisis Intervention for children/youth experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all clinical services in the Electronic Health Record.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, facilitating team meetings and contributing to discussions regarding program needs.
  • Engage in Family Treatment Conferences and intake interviews as necessary, as well as meetings focused on admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Offer therapeutic interventions and crisis management as required.
  • Educate other staff on clinically relevant topics and help foster therapeutic environments based on the PBIS framework.
Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of one of the following NYS Professional Licenses or a Limited Permit: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in providing therapy/treatment services for at-risk youth and families.
  • Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and evidence-based psychotherapy interventions is preferred.
  • A valid New York State Driver's License is preferred.
  • Bilingual/Spanish skills are preferred.
  • Experience in foster care is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and excellent writing abilities for accurate documentation.

Expected Work Hours:

Flexibility in hours is required, including evenings, with shift hours varying based on the needs of the child and family.

Starting Salary: $70,000 (licensed), $68,000 (limited permit)
