Working Conditions:

The Middle School Science Teacher will work in a climate-controlled environment, adhering to School Board Energy Policy. The teacher must be able to sit or stand for long periods, use hands to handle or feel controls, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift or move light weights up to twenty (20) pounds.

Professional Conduct and Traits:

The Middle School Science Teacher is expected to maintain a high standard of professional conduct, including but not limited to: honesty, integrity, and respect for colleagues, students, and parents. The teacher must also demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Classification under Fair Labor Standards Act:

This position is exempt from overtime payments under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
