We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Director of Safety and Security. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in safety, security, and emergency management, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security programs to ensure the well-being of our employees, customers, and the public.
- Manage and oversee emergency management and preparedness initiatives to minimize the impact of disasters and other crises.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees in safety, security, and emergency management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential safety and security risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and emergency management agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and excellence in safety and security.
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to safety, security, training, and/or emergency management, or in business administration.
- At least 12 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in safety, security, and/or emergency management, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety and security programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand complex material.
- Physical ability to attend meetings and other off-site functions.
- Master's degree in a field related to safety, security, training, and/or emergency management.
- Professional certifications in safety, security, and/or emergency management.
- Experience working in a multi-modal mass transit property.
