About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Treasury and Corporate Services Manager to join our team at the Michigan Milk Producers Association. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cooperative's treasury functions, including cash flow management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and capital asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the cooperative's cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize the use of financial resources.
  • Oversee short-term and long-term investment strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor and manage financial risks, including interest rate and currency exposure.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investment partners.
  • Prepare and present treasury reports to senior management, including cash flow forecasts, liquidity analysis, and investment performance.
  • Manage the cooperative's accounts payable and accounts receivable team.
  • Manage the cooperative's corporate governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the capital asset requisition form process (CAPEX).
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to treasury and corporate services functions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the cooperative's annual budget, focusing on cash flow projections, capital expenditure, and financing needs.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis related to treasury and corporate services activities.
  • Support the strategic planning process by providing financial forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies related to treasury and corporate services.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard cooperative's assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to treasury and corporate services activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the AP/AR team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Oversee the recruitment and training of new staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of treasury management, corporate finance or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Leadership Skills Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • ERP experience, Microsoft AX or D365 preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills which includes the ability to effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
