Job Summary

Trescal Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Calibration Technician to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As a key member of our calibration team, you will be responsible for performing high-level calibrations on test and measurement instrumentation, troubleshooting and repairing unique equipment, and interacting with customers to determine their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibrations on high-level test and measurement instrumentation
  • Use troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipment
  • Interact with customers to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards, and test procedures
  • Interface directly with customers to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards, and test procedures
  • Ensure preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment is performed in a timely and acceptable manner
  • Manage workload distribution for technicians within your sphere of influence
  • Perform daily inspections of incoming equipment to verify accessories, manuals, and malfunctions
Requirements
  • Military calibration training and work experience, or AS degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience calibrating test and measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory
  • Experience calibrating multiple disciplines of test and measurement equipment
  • Prior use of network analyzer
  • Strong understanding of microwave and RF principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize workload
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience calibrating EMI receivers, power sensors, LISN, and CDN
  • Understanding of test codes such as IEC-61000 series
