Job Title: Senior Calibration Technician

Transcat is a leading calibration and compliance services provider in North America and beyond. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Calibration Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing high-level calibration work with minimal supervision. This includes calibrating, troubleshooting, and adjusting complex equipment across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in calibration and metrology, with expertise in at least three disciplines.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration work with minimal supervision
  • Conduct independent research and development of calibration processes
  • Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from the service manager
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards and ensure accuracy
  • Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made
  • Read and interpret lab scopes of accreditation
  • Work effectively with lab support staff and customers
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Train and advise lower-level technicians
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from a college or technical school, or six+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Commercial calibration experience preferred
  • CCT or CMT certification desired
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
