Position Summary:
As a Production Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and safe functioning of manufacturing equipment within the automotive sector, starting from raw materials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and company policies.
  • Provide training to fellow contractors on assigned topics and ensure all training and certifications are up to date.
  • Collaborate in a team setting to enhance the production of quality products and promote safety awareness.
  • Inspect products removed from the production line through manual or computer-based processes to meet quality standards.
  • Engage in prolonged standing, repetitive motions, and physical tasks such as bending, stooping, handling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Read and comprehend instructions necessary for daily operations.
  • Assist other departments as required.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Construct boxes according to specifications.

Working Environment:

Work is primarily conducted indoors, involving light lifting, turning, pivoting, and reaching. Occasional heavy lifting may be required. Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, oils, lights, and noise is expected.


Educational Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Demands:
  • Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. to waist height and 30 lbs. to shoulder height.
  • Hand dexterity for handling materials, tools, and keyboards.
  • Mobility to navigate large floor areas and negotiate stairs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods exceeding two hours.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.

Willingness to operate a forklift is required; prior experience is not necessary as training will be provided.


Work Schedule:

Shifts are typically twelve hours long, with rotation through various tasks and assignments, which may include day or night shifts. Overtime may be necessary, and the schedule requires availability any day of the week, including weekends.
