Senior Electrical Engineer Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and verifying circuit board designs for ultrasound systems, transducers, and catheters.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Work with cross-functional engineering teams to create circuit board design requirements and specifications.
* Own circuit board schematic designs and drive board layout, assembly, and testing of the hardware.
* Participate in design integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams.
* Perform root cause failure analysis and implement changes to improve yield, performance, reliability, and manufacturability of our designs.
* Collaborate with experts across many electrical engineering disciplines and participate in knowledge sharing activities.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 5+ years of experience with high-speed digital and/or analog circuit and printed circuit board design.
* Good documentation skills and attention to detail in order to support regulatory requirements.
* Familiarity with schematic capture tools (Mentor Graphics preferred) and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro or similar).
* Experience with specifying circuit board stack-up, layout requirements, and layout constraints.
* Familiarity with EMI/EMC design best practices.
* Medical device design experience and basic understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device design control and manufacturing is beneficial.

**What We Offer**

* Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $135,000 annually.
* Annual incentive target: 8% of base pay.
