Electrical Engineer - PCB Design Expert

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a PCB Design Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for creating PCB design requirements and specifications, owning PCB schematic designs, and driving board layout, assembly, and testing.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will participate in design integration activities, hold and attend detailed design reviews, and create and execute verification plans for board designs.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience in high-speed and/or analog PCB design. You should have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience designing analog and digital circuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create PCB design requirements and specifications with input from other engineering teams.
  • Own PCB schematic designs and drive board layout, assembly, and testing.
  • Create and execute verification plans written for board designs.
  • Participate in design integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Hold and attend detailed design reviews for PCB designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience with high-speed and/or analog PCB design.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience designing analog and digital circuits.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture tools (Mentor Graphics preferred) and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro or similar).
  • Experience with board stack-up, layout requirements, and layout constraints.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC design best practices.
  • Filter design and signal processing experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to apply basic scientific reasoning to resolve technical problems.
  • Medical device design experience and basic understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device design control and manufacturing is preferred.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $160,000 - $210,000 annually.
  • An annual incentive target of 15% of base pay.
