Job Overview:

An Electromechanical Assembler is required for a leading American firm specializing in providing equipment, services, and software for semiconductor chip manufacturing, as well as flat panel displays for various electronic devices.

This position entails the assembly of electromechanical prototypes within an engineering laboratory, working closely with engineers to enhance assembly methodologies and suggesting improvements to existing processes.

Education:

Associate degree preferred

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to verbal and written instructions for assembling prototype products.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to establish optimal assembly practices for new products.
  • Recommend changes to assembly processes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Revise assembly procedures and Bill of Materials (BOM) based on observations.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development of work cells.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in using various hand tools, including screwdrivers, torque drivers, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Experience in soldering, with certifications in PCBA through-hole and SMT being advantageous.
  • Fabrication skills, such as operating a hand drill or drill press, are beneficial.
  • Understanding of production and lean principles is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to convey complex or sensitive information and work towards consensus.

Education and Experience:

An Associate degree or higher in manufacturing or mechanical engineering is advantageous, along with 5+ years of experience in electronics and/or electromechanical roles.
