Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to join our team in Rochester, NY. The successful candidate will develop, test, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robot programs for our systems, collaborating with hardware and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and test PLC, HMI, and robot programs using multiple brands of controls hardware and software languages.
- Collaborate with hardware and mechanical engineers on component selection and design.
- Test electromechanical devices of the assembled system.
- Verify software functions and validate overall system operation.
- Support field service personnel and manage tasks and project deliverables in accordance with project schedule.
- Proficiency with PLC, HMI, and robot programming for industrial automation equipment.
- Experience with information systems as applied to industrial automation equipment.
- Experience with automation components, such as sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems.
- Proficiency with networking communications, including EtherNet/IP and ProfiNet.
- Strong electromechanical aptitude and ability to work productively within a team environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field.
- Associate's Degree from an automation-related program.
- Experience in PLC or robot programming.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
10% travel required.
