Student Safety and Support Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational oversight and day-to-day management to ensure safe and efficient transportation of students.
  • Assist drivers in safe operation of routes, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
  • Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a positive and safe experience.
  • Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of exiting by emergency door.
  • Clean the inside of the bus and assist driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Early morning availability.
  • Judgement/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage high degrees of stress.
