Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate for Child Development to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing standardized developmental assessments of school-aged children's cognitive and language development, as well as engaging in data entry, processing, coding, and transcribing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct standardized, structured interviews with parents about various topics, including screens for depression and questions about their child's development and behavior.
  • Schedule and track visits with families, maintain inventory of materials, and coordinate other operational aspects of the study.
  • Translate and back-translate research-related documents.
  • Conduct literature reviews and assist with other research, programmatic, and operational tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in child development, child life, infancy, special education, family processes, maternal and child health, or related field.
  • Previous experience working with children and parents in educational, hospital, or mental health settings.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $51,243.96 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
