Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled clinician to join our Perinatal Behavioral Health team at Children's National Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, and a passion for perinatal mental health and wellbeing.

The Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist will provide behavioral health screening and therapeutic interventions to pregnant and postpartum patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health screening and therapeutic interventions to patients in a patient-centered manner
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes
  • Identify and prioritize clinical and psychosocial goals, and problem-solve to ensure follow-through on needed responses
  • Document patient care in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Up to 2 years' experience in perinatal care, preferably in a behavioral health setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse patients and groups
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to support diverse program and patient needs
