Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled clinician to join our team as a Perinatal Behavioral Health Associate at Children's National Hospital. This role will provide behavioral health screening and interventions to pregnant and postpartum patients, working towards a licensed independent clinician (LICSW) certification.
Key Responsibilities- Provide behavioral health screening and therapeutic interventions to patients in a patient-centered manner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient coordination and care.
- Identify and prioritize clinical and psychosocial goals, and problem-solve to ensure follow-through on needed responses.
- Document patient care in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
- Act as a liaison among clinical services and between clinical services and support services.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a similar discipline.
- Up to 2 years' experience in perinatal care, preferably with a focus on maternal mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse patients and groups.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- DC LGSW licensure upon hire, with a certificate in perinatal mental health preferred.
