Job Title: Resident Care Assistant

Join La Crosse County, WI as a Resident Care Assistant and make a positive impact in the lives of our residents. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their recovery and well-being in a caring environment.

About the Role:
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, and care of their living area and personal belongings.
  • Encourage independence and provide supervision to maintain safety and a clean environment.
  • Participate in defining needs of residents and develop individualized service plans.
  • Follow all individual service plan approaches and gather data on residents.
  • Report changes in resident condition to community nurse and follow oral or written directions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • For certified positions, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Previous experience in personal care duties in a related setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse residents, including those with dementia, mental illness, or developmental disabilities.

Benefits for this position depend on the number of hours worked. If the position is full-time, then benefits would be available. If the position is part-time, then limited benefits would be available.

La Crosse County, WI offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 6.9% match on the Wisconsin Retirement System, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid holidays.
