Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Quality Coordinator to join our team at SSM Health. As an Imaging Quality Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to collect and analyze data to ensure that our department functions according to defined practice standards and regulatory requirements for assigned modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor staffing and workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing patterns per shift.
  • Coordinate staff orientation to new equipment and procedures, and maintain in-service education records.
  • Monitor trends and instruct or retrain technologists in problem areas.
  • Perform assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and modification of clinical education in radiology modalities.
  • Perform imaging and procedures in assigned modality, covering all aspects of patient care.
  • Consult with physician leaders around procedures done in assigned imaging modality.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain all supply levels in the Imaging Department, ordering, maintaining, and distributing supplies to regulate costs.
  • Develop and maintain processes that support continued accreditation.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree
  • Two years' experience
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
