Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a driven IMAGE SCIENTIST to contribute to a variety of product assessments, evaluations of algorithm performance, introduction of innovative products, and formulation of metrics to assess image quality in imaging technologies.

The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of modeling elements in the imaging process, including sensor characteristics, detector functionality, atmospheric influences, and material properties. Familiarity with diverse imaging technologies such as panchromatic, RADAR, LIDAR, OPIR, hyperspectral, and/or multispectral systems utilized in space or airborne applications is highly beneficial. Proficiency in GEOINT systems and analysis software is crucial for developing effective testing methodologies. The candidate will work collaboratively with a team to meet project objectives as dictated by government standards. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential, along with a proven ability to achieve results.

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Image Science, Optics, Engineering, or Applied Physics, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical-optical, RADAR, LIDAR, hyperspectral, and/or multispectral imaging.
  • Experience in image processing and digital signal analysis.
  • Knowledge of image chain evaluation encompassing atmospheric modeling, signal integrity, noise analysis, optics, detector calibration, and pixel data processing.
  • Applied expertise in sensor imaging technologies, products, and analysis workflows.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in technical briefings and problem-solving scenarios.
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering impactful results.
  • Must possess at least a Top Secret clearance and be prepared to upgrade to TS/SCI clearance and successfully complete a polygraph examination as required.
