Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Mission Systems Engineer to provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This position supports a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of system development and acquisitions that advance the NRO's space resiliency posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis and evaluations of systems and track resulting metrics to ensure optimal performance.
  • Study and analyze complex problems to identify solutions and assess relevant current and future technologies for insertion.
  • Evaluate enterprise verification and validation testing to ensure system integrity.
  • Review and analyze discrepancy reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess labor, schedules, and resources required for integrating, testing, validating and transitioning systems.
  • Capture and document lessons learned and best practices to improve future system development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Test engineering, or scientific/technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in engineering analysis and/or mission/ops/ground support experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Modeling and simulation experience using one or more of the following: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment.
