Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the operations, maintenance, and sustainment of an international network of radionuclide monitoring stations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute projects related to the operations, maintenance, and sustainment of the international network of radionuclide monitoring stations.
  • Travel to domestic and international locations to maintain and repair fielded systems.
  • Build, test, and evaluate new electrical and mechanical equipment and sensors in an engineering test bed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful operation of the network.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex technical problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance required within 24 months of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Past experience in managing and executing projects.
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international locations.
  • Knowledge of Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, nuclear sensor technology, spectroscopy, noble gas science, and data acquisition.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Proficient ability in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
