Clinical Research Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Physician to join our team at Wake Research. As a Clinical Research Physician, you will provide clinical mentorship and leadership for clinical development and clinical trials conduct within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Expertise: Provide clinical expertise into the conduct of clinical trials, including assessing and following the safety of clinical trial participants.
- Build Relationships: Build positive relationships and networks with internal and external medical professionals and local opinion leaders.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with colleagues in other functions, including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement.
- Lead Research Team: Lead and provide oversight to a team of researchers and clinical staff involved in the conduct of clinical trials.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Be responsible for the successful execution of research protocols according to FDA regulations and GCP guidelines.
- Evaluate Study Volunteers: Evaluate study volunteers' eligibility for clinical trials and perform physical exams and assessments as required per research protocols.
- Complete Training: Complete all industry-required training and assess study patients' health through interviews and physical examinations.
- Communicate with Patients: Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals and review all diagnostic reports and provide clinical direction to the study team.
- 10 years' post-training experience as a physician in endocrinology.
- Currently licensed to practice medicine in the state of hire with no history of license suspension or debarment.
- Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and biopharmaceutical sponsors.
- Strong attention to detail and strong leadership qualities.
- Clinical research experience.
