ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, you will:
- Conduct inspections of farms to ensure adherence to contract and cooperative agreement standards.
- Provide guidance to farmers on development programs aimed at enhancing the production of high-quality poultry products.
- Facilitate safety meetings to promote a secure working environment.
- Manage the logistics of pullet movements effectively.
- Administer field vaccinations and medications as required.
- Weigh, handle, and assess the condition of pullets, hens, and males.
- Monitor and analyze the productivity of hens.
- Possibly collect and transport eggs while tracking hatchability rates.
- May be responsible for scheduling and training other staff members.
This role requires the application of various procedures, policies, and standards. A moderate level of analytical ability is necessary for interpreting guidelines and addressing problems of moderate complexity. The position operates under limited supervision, allowing for periods of autonomy and general oversight. You will have the flexibility to choose techniques and processes within defined objectives to accomplish tasks, and may occasionally lead or supervise others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The role may involve routine exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture, and unpleasant air conditions. There may also be occasional exposure to soiled materials and light chemical substances, such as cleaning agents.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is typically required. Experience in the industry generally ranges from 2 to 5 years of directly related work.
