Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with development engineers to design and develop new processes, technologies, and test methods for cable production.
- Conduct experiments to gain fundamental understanding, mitigate risks, and define capabilities that deliver solutions designed for manufacturing.
- Work with internal and external subject matter experts to identify key processing technologies and determine feasibility and capabilities.
- Provide project support to evaluate process concepts through configuration and modification of lab or plant-based equipment.
- Solve problems and improve processes based on fundamental understanding.
- Associate degree (Preferred) with 3+ years of manufacturing or product development experience OR 6+ years of similar work experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills utilizing structured techniques.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to share and clearly express technical ideas.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with extrusion highly desired.
- Experience in computer-aided design to create tooling, parts, products, or manufacturing processes.
- PLC programming skills with experience with electrical controls and measurement systems.
- Competitive salary range: $55,000 - $75,775.
