Position Overview: Laboratory Research Specialist
The Laboratory Research Specialist will be responsible for overseeing various testing initiatives within our research environment. This role involves meticulous organization, scheduling, and execution of a range of analytical tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate testing projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to established protocols.
- Work collaboratively with technical personnel to uphold safety standards and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Adhere to rigorous testing and safety protocols when handling chemical and pharmaceutical substances.
- Analyze data obtained from advanced instrumentation, including Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC) systems.
- Contribute innovative ideas for project enhancements and improvements in laboratory processes.
- Develop and refine analytical methodologies while maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Ensure precise documentation and upkeep of laboratory records.
- Draft proposals, safety guidelines, and comprehensive testing plans.
- Conduct chemical analyses to support various research projects.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required.
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, particularly with chromatography and other analytical techniques.
- Strong understanding of organic synthesis, extraction processes, preparation of analytical standards, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Commitment to safety compliance and relevant training.
- Excellent report writing and data analysis skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
