Training Manager, HCP-Capacity Building Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Manager to join our HCP Capacity Building team at Public Health Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health education, training, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of training related to HCP Capacity Building SCN initiatives, including training calendars, training needs assessments, training curricula and content resources, administration, coordination and facilitation of trainings, training evaluation, and coordination with external consultants, as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of training related to HCP Capacity Building SCN initiatives
• Supervise two Practice Improvement Specialists, including hiring, task supervision, and performance management
• Develop, implement, and analyze training needs assessments to identify strengths, challenges and areas for improvement among healthcare partners
• Oversee training curricula, including maintenance of existing training materials, teaching tools, and related materials and development of new curricula, as needed
• Oversee the collection and monitoring of training attendance records to ensure optimal participation in training initiatives by healthcare partners
• Oversee training evaluations (e.g., participant feedback forms, pre/post surveys, etc.), including design, collection, basic analyses and recommendations for improvement
• Identify and manage consultants to support the development and implementation of content-specific training on an as-needed basis
• Collaborate with the Directors, HCP-CB and Quality Improvement (QI) and Evaluation Manager, to support the development and facilitation of virtual/in-person learning sessions, technical assistance, trainings, and QI coaching for healthcare partners

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Health or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in health education, training, or a related discipline
• Experience hiring, onboarding and directly supervising staff strongly preferred
• Foundational knowledge of community, city and state health department systems and NYC-based provider networks
• Prior experience in issues related to healthcare; social services; health equity, access and quality; population health (or some subset/combination of these) preferred

• Superior facilitation and oratory skills required, including ability to adapt to the needs of diverse audiences and facilitate discussion of sensitive material
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
• Ability to independently carry out assigned tasks and anticipate project needs
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional time and project management skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate within and across the HCP Capacity Building team, Healthcare-Community Partnerships Division, other organizational units, and with colleagues in various external working groups/forums
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of web-based meeting applications
