Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight
    • Directly supervise production employees and ensure they are following established procedures and protocols.
    • Monitor production levels, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
    • Collaborate with production managers to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Lead safety efforts throughout all departments in Manufacturing, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to address any safety concerns.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Facilities Management
    • Manage and maintain the facilities, including the 5S program, to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of work orders and PMs.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate production teams to achieve production goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
    • Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment

The Shift Supervisor - Production Operations will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
