Position Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Technician will be an integral part of our team, responsible for ensuring that our machinery operates efficiently and safely. This role involves:

• Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and utilizing the correct tools and equipment.

• Following company policies and OSHA regulations to ensure safe working practices.

• Reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor promptly.

• Executing daily maintenance tasks and servicing equipment as required.

• Diagnosing defects in machinery through thorough inspection and operation.

• Performing routine oil and filter changes and taking oil samples as necessary.

• Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities.

• Cleaning and maintaining service vehicles and equipment.

• Refueling and greasing heavy machinery and trucks.

• Checking and cleaning air filters as needed.

• Assisting with general labor duties as required.

• Maintaining cleanliness in work and maintenance areas.

• Lifting and transporting materials, tools, and supplies as needed.

• Understanding the application of fuels and lubricants in machinery maintenance.

• Recognizing occupational hazards and implementing safety precautions during service operations.

• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.

• Being physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

• Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A valid driver's license and meet fleet safety program qualifications.

• A willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

• The ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug tests and physical assessments.

• A professional demeanor and a commitment to teamwork.

• At least two years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.
