Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at the Arizona Joint Force Headquarters-State Public Affairs Office in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting, assembling, and disseminating information concerning the various activities of the state's National Guard units.
About the Job
The primary purpose of this position is to collect, assemble, prepare, and disseminate information regarding the activities of the state's National Guard units. You will work closely with senior officials to develop strategic communications plans and execute them effectively. Your duties will include writing articles on routine events, responding to requests for information, and participating in meetings with specialized groups to listen to feedback on agency programs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience equivalent to at least GS-7 experience, education, or training involving knowledge of writing, communication principles, methods, and techniques related to public affairs. You must also possess experience in applying and adapting knowledge of strictly controlled situations and experience writing articles on routine events of non-controversial subjects.

Salary
