We are seeking a highly motivated Optical Communication Specialist to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of fiber optic communication.

About the Role:

The Optical Communication Specialist will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting Single Mode Fiber and Multi-Mode Fiber efficiently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • A valid Arizona driver license and clean record
  • Transferable experience in fiber optics or related fields; electronics or other outside plant (OSP)
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Proficiency with Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds and safely use hand and small power tools
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of NESC and other state and local safety conditions
  • Familiarity with EXFO 715 OTDR or newer version and ability to interpret results
  • Ability to distinguish different color fiber jackets

Compensation:

$22-$31 per hour (DOE) depending on experience and qualifications.
