We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Manager to oversee the physical, electronic, travel, and emergency security operations for our organization. This role is part of the Security and Fire job function, responsible for the physical security and fire safety of our organization or other tangible assets.

This position is located in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring strong leadership and communication skills to manage building operations, inspect the grounds to ensure security requirements are met, control location access, and monitor the activities of visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote Positive Public Relations: Offer courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests while responding to their requests.
  • Manage Building Operations: Inspect the grounds to ensure security requirements are met, control location access, and monitor the activities of visitors.
  • Work with Law Enforcement Agencies: Regarding threats, investigations, and other security-related issues.
  • Monitor and Control Life Safety Systems: Communicate any security issues to the client representative.
  • Ensure Daily Activity Reporting: Complete and register information is accurate and correct for the next shift.
  • Enforce Parking Regulations: Report fire and safety hazards, protect the organization and clients from damage and loss.
  • Maintain Knowledge of Building, Fire, and Life Safety Code Requirements: Comply with local and national regulations.
  • Work with Manager: Regarding events, incidents, or concerns.
  • Evaluate Operating Guidelines and Practices: Recommend improvements.
  • Gather and Analyze Data: Identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent.
  • Impact Team Performance: Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Security Staff Certification: Must meet local or national security staff certification requirements.
  • Physical Requirements: Stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within one's own job function.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • Software Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Organizational Skills: Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
