About the Role

Alter Domus is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our Fund Administration team. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with the Financial Control, Implementation, and Technology teams to streamline production and enhance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strong internal and external communications on status, issues, and expectations.
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders through responsive and confident communication.
  • Self-review work prior to submitting for review.
  • Participate in interactions with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
  • Successful candidates can work independently and as part of a team with professionals from all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • CPA or intention to obtain CPA preferred.
