Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment, including machinery, pumps, and HVAC systems.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and replacing filters.
    • Use precision measuring and testing instruments to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Set up and operate various metalworking tools, including drill presses, grinders, and cutting torches.
    • Read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams.
    • Make calculations for installation and repair of equipment.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
    • Communicate with supervisors and other departments to report maintenance needs and progress.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school education or equivalent preferred.
    • Two-year trade school in machine maintenance or equivalent training and experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • State of Maine HP Boiler Operators License required within 12 months of hire.
    • 6040 Medical Gas Certification preferred within first 24 months of hire date.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to repair machinery and mechanical equipment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
