Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Fountain Hills. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general front and back office support to professional staff, including escorting patients to exam rooms and maintaining clean, neat, and well-stocked exam rooms.
  • Utilize knowledge and skill to provide appropriate care in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and protocols and Arizona validated competencies.
  • Perform a variety of clerical support duties, including receptionist, telephone, scheduling, message management, and data input.
  • Assist the physician/clinician on exams and any special procedures, including preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients and prepping the patient for exam.
  • May travel to off-site locations to perform diagnostic testing and assist in physical exam components, TB testing, injections, phlebotomy, and others.
  • Perform venipuncture and obtain specimens, perform CLIA waived lab tests, and receive telephone calls from patients, pharmacy, and others, documenting and relaying information to the provider for action.
  • Perform a variety of front office duties as needed, including reception, telephone, chart maintenance, insurance forms, and scheduling.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a MA training program required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card - State required.
