Patient Access Services Representative

The Patient Access Services Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing the registration process for patients, verifying insurance, and ensuring that all necessary documents are obtained.
Key Responsibilities- Arrive patients for scheduled appointments by obtaining necessary consents, signatures, documents, and insurance verification.
- Schedule patient appointments and collect co-pays at time of service.
- Identify coverage or self-pay issues and engage the Financial Advocates as needed.
- Enter patient information and scan required documents in the scheduling system.
- Collaborate with the Business Department to support revenue cycle.
- Utilize excellent customer service skills with both patients and coworkers.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Associate degree in business related field is preferred.
- Ability to collect co-payments and present fiscal information.
- Great computer skills.
- Fantastic customer service skills.
- Adhere to all Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital policies.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Ability to cover all Patient Access areas as needed.
- One year admitting experience and/or health insurance experience preferred.
