We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team at AdventHealth Kissimmee. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our physicians to deliver high-quality surgical services.
Responsibilities- Provide patient management and surgical first assist services, including appendectomies, bowel resections, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Conduct patient histories and physical exams in the office and hospital setting
- Handle daily patient rounds, patient education, and discharge summaries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies
- Monitor patient treatment and make referrals as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide consistent care and support
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nursing Studies
- 1-2 years of surgical experience or first assist experience
- Bilingual or fluent in Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply
- Certification by NCCPA, ANCC, or other nationally recognized certification organization
- BLS and ACLS certification
