Job Title: Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at the City of Racine, WI. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing support and resources to clients, helping them overcome personal and societal obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct client care through support and advocacy, either individually or in a group setting.
  • Assess individual holistic needs, including psychological, social, environmental, nutritional, family, and personal factors.
  • Assist individuals in maintaining or improving their health through access to resources and addressing issues that negatively impact their well-being.
  • Act as a coach to assist patients with ongoing health conditions.
  • Maintain patient records using software applications, computer systems, and/or written notes according to program and best practice standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or higher from an accredited program.
  • State Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to practice.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in social work or behavioral health.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience with a governmental public health agency.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English).
  • Experience working with various racial and ethnic groups.
  • Enhanced familiarity/experience with statistical theory/methods.
  • Experience in public speaking with the ability to present data and other program materials in Microsoft PowerPoint.
