Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Integrity Engineer to join our IC Packaging team at Apple. As a key member of our RFI (RF Integrity) team, you will play a crucial role in developing novel methodologies to solve coupling, spur, and coexistence issues in highly integrated RF systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct 2D/3D EM simulations on design optimization and coupling mitigation for IC, packages, and boards.
  • Enhance EM modeling and analysis methodology to achieve accurate correlation between simulation and measurement at various levels.
  • Design high-performance RF components, such as transmission lines, filters, and matching networks, in various technologies.
  • Collaborate with IC, package, and product teams to address spur/desense issues in simulation and lab environments.
Requirements
  • BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong fundamentals in microwave engineering and 2D/3D EM simulation tools.
  • Deep knowledge of interaction between EM models and other circuit structures.
  • Familiarity with RF impairment at block and transceiver levels, including amplifiers, filters, PLLs, etc.
  • Experience with RF lab equipment, such as VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, real-time scopes, probe stations, etc.
  • Enthusiasm in learning new technologies and willingness to take risks to solve problems.
  • Strong academic training and knowledge on fundamentals of SI and PI issues is a plus.
  • Familiarity with RFIC design and simulation flow is preferred.
  • Experience in advanced transceiver design and integration is a plus.
  • RF system modeling and link budgeting for transceiver chains.
  • Preferred experience on RF module/board development.
