Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Community Supervision Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in managing and supporting individuals within the community corrections system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for offenders, focusing on rehabilitation and community reintegration.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of offenders' social, family, and employment situations to inform case management decisions.
  • Collaborate with community resources and local organizations to facilitate access to services that aid in offender rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes, reports, and documentation regarding offender progress and challenges.
  • Participate in court proceedings and administrative hearings as required, providing testimony and support for case evaluations.
  • Engage with offenders and their families to discuss progress, challenges, and potential solutions in a supportive manner.
  • Attend regular staff meetings to share insights and strategies for effective case management.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in community corrections, social services, or a related area is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with offenders and community partners.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
