Job Summary:

Kforce's client, a well-established and reputable Distributor, is seeking a seasoned Controller to join their management team. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key player in the financial management of a successful and well-run organization.

About the Role:

The Controller will report directly to the President and be responsible for handling various financial management tasks, including:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and implement comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting and Analytics: Design and implement sophisticated financial reporting and analytics tools to provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Accounting and Financial Operations: Supervise a small team in performing all accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, payroll, cash management, credit and collections, and other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Accounting (CPA certification a plus)
  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on accounting management experience for a mid-sized company, preferably in the wholesale or distribution industry
  • Skills: Recent controllership or equivalent experience, experience with ERP systems, MS Access, Excel, and sales tax; solid computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a positive, upbeat personality
  • Leadership: Ability to develop budgets, perform variance analysis, and report back to owners on results and action plans
