Core Mission:

The primary goal of this role is to uphold the integrity of the hotel’s assets through continuous preventative maintenance initiatives, ensuring that all mechanical systems function in alignment with Springboard Hospitality's high standards. This position is crucial in promoting exceptional service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM

Reports directly to the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer Collaborates with the Engineering department

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Address and manage guest requests in a professional and efficient manner. Conduct preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical systems, and guest rooms. Ensure rooms are maintained in optimal condition by performing necessary repairs, including televisions, phones, and bathroom fixtures. Execute general plumbing tasks as required and maintain the overall aesthetic of the room. Implement the Room Preventative Maintenance Program, preparing maintenance carts for daily use and performing upkeep throughout the hotel, including public areas. Maintain operational equipment through routine checks and repairs. Manage inventory and procure supplies as necessary. Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas. Assist in the upkeep of pools and spas, handling chemicals safely. Manage master keys in accordance with Springboard Hospitality security protocols. Respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms and power failures, notifying appropriate authorities. Conduct regular inspections of hotel property to ensure functionality. Complete maintenance requests and maintain logs for equipment and meter readings. Document all parts utilized and those that need to be ordered. Address elevator malfunctions as needed. Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

Prior Experience: Minimum of 2 years in building maintenance, with specialized skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems. IT Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools. Education: High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. Subject Expertise: Knowledge of property safety and security procedures is essential for maintaining a secure environment for both employees and guests.

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

Adhere to payroll policies and procedures as outlined in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all company safety and security protocols. Travel may be required for hotel familiarization and collaboration with colleagues. Must primarily work during standard business hours, with the understanding that hotel operations run 24/7, which may necessitate occasional weekend or holiday work.
