Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality home-based care services. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate and effective care to patients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled physical therapy services as ordered by the attending physician, observing and monitoring patient conditions and notifying the Physical Therapist of any changes.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance using physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
- Assess functional problems and provide intervention, working towards goals to improve patient functional status.
- Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and instruct on proper use of equipment, such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
Requirements:
- Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of employment.
- Minimum one-year experience as a PTA in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
- Capable of all physical demands.
