Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist with Huntsville Hospital Health System, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Under the direction of a radiologist, you will operate CT and X-ray equipment to produce quality images and radiographs of designated body parts. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality radiographs on all patient age groups
  • Explain procedures to patients and position them for optimal imaging
  • Select appropriate technical factors for specific body parts and review images for quality and accuracy
  • Assist radiologists with invasive procedures and maintain patient and personal safety
  • Administer contrast media as directed by radiologists and perform venipuncture as required
  • Complete exams timely in PACS and verify written physician orders
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a high school graduate or equivalent, with some college preferable. Eligibility for ARRT registry and completion of a 24-month AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training program are required. CT registry and CPR certification are also preferred.
