Overview

Concentra Career Choice is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and/or written instructions, and assisting them in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
  • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during the x-ray exam.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning radiologic equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
  • Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director.
  • Follow all Radiology workflows and ensure all Radiology reports cross correctly to EMR.
  • Complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visit and maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
  • Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
