Position: AML SAR Analyst

Location: New Castle, DE (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 6+ Months (Potential for Extension)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and document findings from case reviews and investigations, preparing comprehensive case files for evaluation.
  • Conduct thorough research utilizing available banking systems, online resources, and databases to resolve investigations effectively.
  • Analyze financial statements and transaction data to identify any unusual transaction patterns.
  • Engage with additional Points of Contact (POC) as necessary to gather further information supporting the investigation.
  • Maintain detailed records of all research and analysis conducted within the Case Management System.
  • Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and provide recommendations regarding the retention or termination of relationships, as well as tracking account closures as required.
  • Collaborate with various units including CRIU, ACRM, the Business, CSIS, FIU Legal, Trade Surveillance, and Law Enforcement when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1-5 years of experience in analyzing customer transactions for potentially suspicious activities and conducting AML or financial investigations.
  • Experience in drafting and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with relevant regulatory standards is preferred.
  • CAMS Certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with laws related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), The USA PATRIOT Act, and other regulatory requirements.
  • General understanding of Senior Public Figures, Money Service Businesses, Wealth Management, and Retail Banking, along with compliance considerations in these sectors.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
  • Strong research skills, including proficiency with online search tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Outlook).
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-up capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently without supervision.
