Mission: Our mission is to develop a novel nanoparticle-based therapy specifically targeting advanced ocular melanoma, leveraging cutting-edge technology developed at Northwestern University.

About the Drug: Our innovative platform utilizes a nanoscale-packaged prodrug designed to selectively target melanoma cells. The development of this therapy is supported by an STTR grant.

Role Overview: This full-time role is crucial to the drug development initiatives at Temprian Oncology. The selected candidate will conduct essential experiments to oversee the drug manufacturing process and its scalability, while also validating its therapeutic potential through in vitro and in vivo studies. Collaboration with development partners at Northwestern University will be a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory management and innovation oversight
  • Ensuring laboratory safety and compliance
  • Inventory management and supervision of interns
  • Ordering of necessary materials, supplies, and equipment

Qualifications: A Master's degree is required, along with experience in nanoparticle synthesis and analysis, sterile culture techniques, and working with small animal models. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and relevant laboratory experience may also be considered. Ideal candidates will possess experience in synthesizing bioorganic materials and expertise in techniques such as spectroscopy, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, RP-HPLC, and MS, as well as proficiency in measuring nanoparticle size and charge, conducting tumor-challenge experiments, and utilizing IVIS monitoring, (confocal) microscopy, FACS, and IncuCyte analyses.

Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to FDA regulations and Temprian Oncology's quality system requirements is essential, including data protection, training documentation, rigorous protocol and report writing, and data archiving.
