Position Overview

We are seeking a Building Automation Project Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical problem-solving skills and extensive knowledge in programming tools and building systems. Responsibilities will include developing programs for DDC controllers and designing user interface graphics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop control systems, databases, and graphics in line with project specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance during start-up, commissioning, and installation phases.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges during project commissioning.
  • Support sales teams with project estimation, design, and planning.
  • Prepare necessary start-up and commissioning documentation.
  • Deliver service support to ensure compliance with building codes and operational efficiency.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Facilitate project transitions from operations to service teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an Associate's degree in BAS, Electronics, or equivalent experience in controls.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in BAS programming and third-party equipment integration.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of commercial building operations.
  • Practical experience with construction environments and safety protocols.
