Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Engineer to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. This role will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of the building's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, installed systems, equipment and components, parking and exterior grounds.
  • Monitor building automation systems (BAS) to ensure efficient building operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance mechanic and outside contractors.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of maintenance activities and building operations.
  • Respond to tenant service requests and address issues promptly and effectively.
  • Oversee energy management and sustainability initiatives to improve building efficiency.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • General maintenance - painting, hang doors, repairs to office furniture systems and doors.
  • Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies that align with the organization's goals, focusing on sustainability and optimal performance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in trade or engineering.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and initiative oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Universal EPA - CFC Certification preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft ladders.
  • Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
